Yvonne Nassar new CEO of the Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions

As of 1 January 2025, Yvonne Nassar will start as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions (NBTC). Previously, Yvonne served as Head of Marketing & Communication at the Van Gogh Museum. She will succeed Jos Vranken, who left NBTC on 1 October.

Han Polman, chair of the NBTC supervisory board, stated: “We are delighted to welcome Yvonne as CEO, starting 1 January. Her expertise and experience make her an invaluable, unifying leader - crucial to ensuring that, together with our partners, the tourism industry can foster meaningful connections that enhance the quality of life in our country. Both the NBTC team and the supervisory board eagerly anticipate working with Yvonne.”

Yvonne Nassar shared her enthusiasm: “Throughout my career, I have collaborated with the NBTC team, both domestically and internationally. I have greatly enjoyed participating in activities aimed at attracting international conferences and have benefited from the valuable data and insights NBTC provides on tourism. I look forward to working with NBTC’s dedicated team, partners, business sector, government, and the wider network. My aim is to contribute to the positioning of the Netherlands as a prime destination for tourism and conventions for residents, visitors, and organizations, with sustainability and innovation high on the agenda.”

Yvonne brings extensive experience in the tourism industry. Prior to her role at the Van Gogh Museum, she worked at RAI Amsterdam, where she launched the Marketing & Innovation Department and served as Head of Customer Strategy & Marketing. She also held the position of Director of Marketing Europe at Dolce Hotels & Resorts in Paris. Her personal mission is to connect people to drive sustainable growth, creating a colourful future for everyone.
