Cycling research in core markets
You can't say The Netherlands without saying bikes. The Dutch use a bike for everything, but also visitors take to our beloved vehicles. To gain more insight into the cycling behaviour of guests from our key core markets, we conducted a survey. With the results, we can anticipate more on cycling behaviour and hope to stimulate this sustainable way of traveling even more.
The survey
In the survey we found answers to questions such as what type of bicycle is used most often, what motivates visitors to cycle, with whom do they cycle most often and much more. Target group
Participants in the survey were visitors who have been on holiday in the Netherlands in the past five years. Respondents came from our core markets Germany (Nordrhein Westfalen and Niedersachsen), Belgium (Flanders) and Great Britain.
