Destination Development

The increasing growth of the number of visitors to and within our country requires a distribution of time and space, i.e. attracting different visitors to different locations in the Netherlands at different times. This requires a range of tourism products that is relevant, accessible, bookable, visitable and experienceable. It involves strengthening and further developing existing supply while also developing innovations. This is how we make our country a sustainable and future-proof destination, prepared for the growing influx of visitors.

Development of supply of tourism products and knowledge transfer

Destination Development entails stimulating and facilitating the development of relevant supply and organising knowledge transfer relating to destination development and supply innovations. We identify opportunities, inspire stakeholders and bring together collaboration partners. We coordinate and facilitate these collaborations and ensure the sharing and spreading of the acquired knowledge.
